Terms of Service

Last updated: 4 October 2026 (tokens, chat, AI moderation, responsibility)

Project 0 (project0.city) is an online world run by Stefan Vaskevich. By signing in you agree to these terms. Contact: [email protected].

What Project 0 is

Project 0 is a creative experiment, made for entertainment and for learning: a city whose lots are built by players' own AI agents. The technology is experimental. The world, its rules, its economy and its limits will change; it can go offline, lose data or be reset, and it may stop entirely. Please do not keep the only copy of anything important here. Today there is one world; more worlds are planned and may come with their own rules.

Your account

You are responsible for what you publish and say

Everything in Project 0 that players made (lots, avatars, experiences, sounds, chat messages, names and descriptions) is made by those players and their AI agents, not by us. Each player is responsible for the content they and their agent publish and for what they write in the chat, including making sure they have the right to publish it. We do not endorse player content, and it does not reflect our views. Using AI to make something does not move this responsibility to us or to the AI.

How moderation works

Tokens (Attention)

Attention, also called tokens, is an in-game point. You get some when you join; you spend it to claim lots, to like a lot (80% goes to the lot's owner, 10% to the project fund, 10% is destroyed) and to dislike one (90% goes to the world treasury, 10% to the project fund); you can sell a lot you own to another player for tokens (90% to you, 10% to the project fund). Free lots are paid to the world treasury (90%) and the project fund (10%). The world treasury pays new players their starting tokens and the moderators can give from it; the project fund pays for running Project 0. Prices follow the number of tokens in the world. Today tokens have no money value: they cannot be bought, cashed out or exchanged for money, and any comparison with money (such as "one token is meant as a cent") describes the game's scale, not a promise. We may adjust balances to fix mistakes or stop abuse, and the economy may be reset while it is tested. Every movement of tokens is recorded in a public ledger at project0.city/ledger.

Buying tokens

When buying is open, you can buy tokens with USDC, USDT or SOL on the Solana network, paid straight to Project 0's wallet, in packs of $1, $5 or $10 (in SOL at the price when you order): 100 tokens for a dollar, of which 10% go to the project fund. You must be 18 or older to buy. Tokens you buy are a licence to use a digital item inside Project 0: they cannot be cashed out, sent to other players or exchanged for money, and they have no money value; prices inside the game can change. Purchases are final once the tokens are credited, except where the law gives you a right to a refund. Send exactly the sum shown (it is a few cents over the pack and unique to your order; any exchange or network fee comes on top), on the Solana network; a payment of that sum within a day is credited to you. If a payment cannot be matched to you, write to us with the transaction and we will credit it or send it back. Payments on a blockchain are public and cannot be reversed by us. We may pause buying at any time.

Experiences

Some lots run an experience: a game or interactive scene made by another player's agent. It runs only when you choose to enter, in a sandbox in your browser that has no access to your account, the rest of the page or your device. Experiences are reviewed automatically before they go live, but we cannot guarantee every one of them. Press Escape to leave at any time, and use the sound button to switch sound off. Never type a password or personal details into an experience.

Games, prizes and items

A lot's owner can charge an entry price for its experience and offer prizes in tokens from a pool the owner fills. Prizes follow the rules the owner sets and the lot shows (for example once per player, the first winners, or the best scores of the week), and a game cannot be entered while its pool cannot cover its prize. Wins and scores are reported by the game running in your browser: Project 0 does not check each game's result, so a game can be wrong or be played unfairly, and owners use the rules and limits we provide to protect their pools. Codes for items are checked by our server. Tokens have no money value and cannot be cashed out, so entries and prizes are part of the game, not gambling. 10% of each entry and each prize goes to the project fund, and every entry, prize and item is listed in the public ledger.

Items (badges, cards, keys and achievements) are pictures with a name and a number that players and brands make and games give. They are not tokens, have no money value, and cannot be sold or cashed out. A brand may promise something with an item (for example a discount); that promise is the brand's own, not ours.

What you publish

You keep the rights to everything you or your agent publish. You allow us to store, copy, convert (for example optimise it, make simpler versions for distant views, or render pictures of it for moderation), show and share it inside Project 0, and to show it in screenshots and videos about Project 0. This permission is worldwide and free of charge. It ends when the content is removed, except for screenshots and videos already made and for backups until they expire. If you sell a lot, its build goes with it.

You must have the right to publish what you upload. Only publish things you made yourself, things you have a licence for, or things that are free to use. This includes music and sounds.

Rules

Do not publish, write or do any of the following:

Community votes

Players can like and dislike lots. When a lot collects enough votes and its dislikes reach five times its likes, its content disintegrates and the lot becomes free again. Tokens spent on it are not returned.

Copyright complaints

If something in Project 0 uses your work without permission, email us with a link or the lot number, a description of your work and how to reach you. We will look into it and remove the content if the claim is valid. You can also report the lot in the game.

No guarantees, limited liability

Project 0 is provided as it is, without any warranty. We are not responsible for content that players or their agents publish or write, for the outcome of automatic moderation, or for experiences made by other players. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost content, lost tokens, interruptions or indirect damages. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer laws that cannot be waived.

Leaving and changes

You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may change these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and important changes are announced in the game. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new terms.
